Leviathan

Boils the world, salt and foam,

Crust and grass, it’s slime roams down the crevices.

Poison and sulfur and scales, stench and lies.

Lies on lies on lies on lies on lies,

Writhe in a serpentine grip on the windpipe of creation.

It only twists more, it won’t unknot, you can’t sort it out,

You can only hack at the body with the sharpest of blade.

You can hold your shield for the barbs that drop,

And you can cinch the helmet and tie your boots and belt.

And swing. Get up. Swing.

But the kill shot waits.

“In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭27‬:‭1‬
“In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭27‬:‭1‬

The slithering obscenity wreaks havoc, coiled in it’s reign on earth.

But the end strike cometh.

Every knee will bow to the Prince of peace,

Peace bled for, by Himself.

Voluntarily stricken by the snake.

Try it.

Lift your eyes and try it.

Hail Christ.

He invites you to the fray, to the end of the world,

To fill out that meaning you were built for.

He will kill the chaos dragon, and you are not meant to stand idly by and watch.

You are the hand that grips the hilt.
