SHED BLOOD

Hematohidrosis: a condition of blood droplets pressed from the pores from extreme physical or psychological stress.

I’ve heard people say they want to die in their sleep.

And who am I to judge another man’s end.

But I want to die with my boots on, swinging hard.

To die for a purpose greater than you, greater than your vices or failures.

To die for your children, your lover, or your brother.

To fight against the depravity until the blood pools around my feet and blurries my vision.

That’s what I want.

And if they take me alive,

tell ‘em hang me high.

Upside down cause I ain’t good enough

to be killed like the King.
