“Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.”
The voices in your day, relentless. Some speak good.
Most of the ones coming from a syndicate media lab are evil.
All sinful save scripture.
Sort the voices and tell yourself the truth.
Pull the lies from your self dialogue.
Are you lying to yourself?
“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.” Ps 43:5
Take stock of your soul.
Preaching the gospel to oneself is to bring the Light to the deepest part of you,
figure out what's knocking in the engine compartment.
Bring the sword to your skeleton and divide out the flesh from the soul.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7
So many voices/noises.
Constant chatter and static from a whining world in chaos.
Can you sit still and silent in an empty place for 2 minutes?
Get alone, being silent is uncomfortable at first because you’re forced to face your own nature raw and unmedicated by the slew of easy dopamines that make us forget who we are.
Jesus is king.
God is near.
Tell yourself the Truth.
